After having a baby how long does it take for your cycle to get back to normal? I had a baby 3 1/2 months ago, I am not nursing and my cycle has been weird, last month it was 3 days late, but this month so far it is 6 days late, I am not sure if I may be pregnant. I am taking a test in the morning, but I am kind of scared, because I just feel like I may be pregnant, but I keep thinking that I was late last month, so that may be all it is... So my question to everyone...How long does it take for your cycle to get back to normal after having a baby, while not nursing??Please help if you have any ideas!!!!

Honestly every woman is different. I didnt breast feed either and my period was twice as heavy there on out, but it came normally after it started up again about 4 weeks after .Jacob was born.

After my daughter was born I didn't bleed at all- thats cause I was pregnant! Lol.

My doc calculated my last period as six weeks after my daughter was born (even though I never bled) which meant I ovulated when she was 8 weeks old.

When I had my scan they calculated I was 7-8 weeks but there was alot of confusion as we didn't know my lmp. The ultrasound later on worked it out though.

You can get pregnant more or less the month after the baby was born but the reason I didn't know was that it can take a few months for your period to get back into a routine.

After my son was born my periods were exactly like yours. Then I had the coil put in which messed it up even more, then when I had the coil took out as it was causing problems I fell pregnant again! Lol.
