Bad Long Lasting Jock Itch Posted: 08-28-06 07:11am
Ok, ive had jock itch for a long time now,
at first it wasnt to bad, but then it
started to spread fast (i first got it
when I was 16) anyway I had went to the
doctor and I got some cream, 'taro' is
what it wad called, in a red and white
tube, it cleared it up mostly, but ever
since then ive gotten it back again and
again, I recently got an infection on my
inner thigh from it I believe, and had to
have surgury to have it draind, it cleared
up completely from all the antibiotics I
had pumped into me while I was in the
hospital, but its recently come back, ive
been using goldbond antifungal footpower
to get rid of it, and its seemed to work
before, but now it dosnt seemt o do
anything but slowen the process of its
growing, its currntly all over my left
thigh (im a tad overweight so my legs are
a little flabby at the thighs btw) and im
a large person so I generate alot of body
heat,i tend to use rubbing alcohol to
clean myself before I go to bed, then dry
it, and reapply the antifungal powder, but
it still never goes away anymore, it dosnt
itch, it dosnt doa nything now but make my
skin dry and flakey with a small red
outline around the infected areas on my
legs
what should I do? The doctor only tells
me to clean it and keep it dry, but I have
been doing that for atl east 3 years now,
im 19 now and turning 20 next month, this
is driving me insane and is completely
destroying my sex life because my gf is
easily succeptible to yeast infections and
I was warned that if I were to have
unprotected sex with my girlfriend she
would most likey get one that would
require perscription grade medicine,
please help, im at my wits end with this
:(
