Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing
well! I wanted to ask a questions about
weight gain. Should you gain one pound a
week even in the first trimester? I
gained 35 pounds with my son which isn't
bad I know... But I didn't eat as healthy
as I should have. I want to do better
with this pregnancy and only gain about 25
pounds or so. I was only 5 pounds away
from my goal weight when I found out I was
pregnant with this baby... Which makes me
about 5 pounds over weight for my height.
Any tips on not gaining too much? As
always, thanks so much ya'll!

Dont believe anything like that and dont
worry >:d< all these boks out that
say things like you should put on so much
weight and your baby should kick atleast
10 times a day are all a lot of non sense!
Dont worry when u go for check ups with
your midwife she will check your weight
and if anything is wrong she will tell you
:)

Dont diet when pregnant, I know the
feeling, I went to the gym for 2 years to
get to my ideal size and weight, and as
soon as I stop going to the gym, I find
out im pregnant lol :!: just eat healthy,
dont snack on empty calories, drink plenty
of water and go for a walk everyday.
Although it is hard, I have just been
eatin what ever my body wants, which isnt
very good but oh well.

I gained....72lbs!!! With my son. But
luckily it was all belly and I had 2
amniotic sacs which accounted for a lot of
the weight! Plus he weighed almost 9lbs!

Doctors Will Let You Know. Posted: 08-29-06 10:41am
The doctor or midwife will let you know
when to worry. In my 2nd trimester with
my son I gained 8 lbs in only 1 week, then
the next time I went to the doctor they
griped at me for not gaining any weight.
Around 33 weeks they sent me for an
ultrasound because they feared that he
baby wasn't growing because I wasn't
gaining any weight (i had really bad
morning sickness throughout the whole 9
months). In the end I had only gained 17
lbs and brought a beautiful 6 lb, 6 oz
baby boy into the world. I wouldn't
worry about the whole weight thing, just
eat when you get hungry. Everybody is
different.
