I am starting a hypnobirthing class on the 25th has anyone here used it?

My boss at work used it for her first child. She said it was fantastic. She was in labor and didn't even know it. By the time she got to the hospital she was pretty far a long. She was very "relaxed"..I guess as much as you can be when in labor! I hope it works great for you! She still uses what she learned to de-stress.

Too bad they couldn't do that with pap tests. I hate those, and I get too freaked out when I go in. If I was hypnotized that'd be better.

Apparently the techniques that you use can be applied to any pain or stresses you have in your life. They teach you how to breath and how to transfer your pain and to focus on other things. She did part of the sessions with her husband so that he could use the methods in the delivery room also.
