Why do you have to wait 6 weeks after dilivery to have sex? Is it safe to do it if you feel you are ready and you use birth control and condoms? I no longer feel sore and was wondering if it was okay if we tryed having sex and see if my body was even ready. I don't understand why they say not sex for 6 week.

I had sex 4 weeks after. I only had 1 stitch and felt comfortable. We did use protection as you're fertile mertile after a baby.

You might need to use lube, but because of scar tissue, start slow. Don't just jump on it...You'll need to eaaaase it on in!

It's been 4 and a half months and I still eaaaase it in. And I only had one stitch. Scar tissue is a bbbiiioootttccchh!!

Good luck girl!! Get cha soooommmee!!!

Yea, mine was the same. I was soooo fricken horney I didn't care!!! Hahaha...But make sure you're ready. You might change your mind once it goes in. You could have some small internal tears that aren't healed up.

Have fuuunn!!

It's cause it can cause an infection. Even after my c-sec I had to wait 6 weeks and I didn't even want to think about sex let alone have any. Lol

I think it's more of a pelvic rest, than anything. The infection part makes a loooot of sense. I'm not suggesting sex, if it's only been about 2 weeks. Give it some time.

I can't talk much, cuz I had sex at a month. But every situation is different.

Good luck giirl!

Pelvic rest and the risk of infection can be high. Those are a few of the reasons to wait.

Use birth control if you are planning on having sex - even if you are breast feeding!

Go slow. Use lots of lube. And don't do it if it doesn't feel good.

I think it depends upon your dr, the birth, how healthy you are and so forth and so on, yes, you do have to be careful for infections, their are not two births that are the same and if you do have sex before the time that your dr says and something goes wrong just be prepared for the dr to say, I told you to wait and kind of like ingi says, to use b/c and to use your head and lots of tlc as you are still very sensitive down there. Just because you have had the baby and are feeling okay it doesn't mean that you are healed, it takes time to heal from the inside and plus having a baby takes a lot out of you!

Yeah, just because of the infection factors and the tearing and your tissue not being healed all the way, I wouldn't do it.I would wait until the doctor gave the ok
