Possible Ibs Sufferer, Need Opinions... Posted: 09-01-06 20:33pm
I'm a 22 year old us sailor, who eats very
healthy. Every once awhile (about twice a
month) i'll have a lil fast food or
something not too good for me. 2 weeks
ago I went to in n out burger here in
california and had a burger and fries. I
had no abdominal pains or constipation,
but I did notice a little change in my
bowel movements such as texture and what
not. About 4 days after that I decided to
sin again and get a quesadilla from a
"taco truck" and immediately after I ate
that I had to go to the bathroom non stop
and had unbelievable abdominal pains.
Those pains stopped the day after, but I
shortly became constipated and later what
felt like very strong gas pains started to
begin. The pains don't stop after I have
a bowel movement though. I've been
suffering for two weeks now and went to
see the naval doctor yesterday, she saw no
reason to do any bloodwork or any other
tests since I had no fever. She gave me
stool softener and some pills for my gas,
which barely seem to work. When I do go
to the bathroom I either have diahrea or
very watery stool (which could be from the
stool softener). Does this sounds like
ibs to any of you or what else could this
be. I'm not in pain per say, but i'm in
constant discomfort. Please help!
