Bactrim is a combination of 2 antibiotics: sulfametoxasol and trimetoprim. It is a strong large-spectral antibiotic that is usually used for treating urinary-genital infections but can also treat some respiratory, intestinal and skin infections. In the case of renal failure, the doses of Bactrim have to be decreased and the period between two intakes has to be prolonged.
