I just found out that I am 6 weeks into my first pregnancy and I don't really know what to expect. I have no cravings no upset stomach my breast are sore on some days and others they feel fine, heartburn is the only thing I have that stays around day after day. Is this normal?

Totally normal, hon. Every pregnancy is different. Some women have severe morning sickness, and others never experience it at all. And the same woman could have horrible sickness with one pregnancy and little to none in her next. It's funny how our bodies work! Just count yourself lucky that you're feeling pretty good and enjoy your pregnancy! Congratulations. :)

Some women don't even know they're pregnant until they're into their second trimester - some women just don't have a lot of symptoms. Some women can sense that something is different with their bodies, while others cannot at times.

And yes, your symptoms are totally normal, although I always thought the heartburn came in the last two trimesters because the uterus pushes the organs up and causes acid to come up into the throat and chest.

No, heartburn doesn't just come in the last two trimesters. I've had bad heartburn since about week 9. I started having symptoms around 8 and a half weeks.

Heartburn is caused by the valve between the stomach and the esophagus not closing properly, thanks to pregnancy hormones.. So it can happen at any stage of pregnancy. I've managed to escape it so far.. Although i've had every other problem related to being pregnant. It's great fun! ;)

congratulations on your pregnancy, i'm sure everything will be fine for you =)

Don't even get me started on heatburn lol.... Before I got pregnant, even toast would give me mad heartburn... Since I got pregnant, I basically always have it. I was on medication for it, but I would never remember to take it...

i'm 11 weeks now, and the only symptoms i've had, besides heartburn which I don't really count because i've always had it, are sore breasts and mild morning sickness. Some of my clothes have started getting a bit tight, but thats pretty much it. Good luck with everything! <3

Dont worry:) it's normal. I am 28 weeks pregnant and the only symptoms I ever had were a growing belly and aching breasts :)
