Two Weeks to Go!!
Posted: 09-02-06 11:52am

Well, time is drawing nearer every passing day. I cannot help but feel nervous and anxious. This is our first baby!! I had a miscarriage a few years ago and I am terrified that the pain is going to be the same.
Does anyone know?

I suppose it is different for every woman and I just need to wait and see for myself. I walk into my bedroom and see the baby crib all set up and look at his or her clothes and I get all teary eyed, I cannot believe I am going to be a mommy. I have to admit that I am relieved that it is so close because this little baby inside of me has given me quite a ride. I have never seen my body get so disfigured as it does when my little one moves around. Stretching its legs and arms. I love it but sometimes it just hurts.
I wish all the upcoming mothers, new mothers and second and third time moms the best. I just thought I would stop by and write a little note.
Take care and god bless

Awww! Congrats hon! Good luck with your first baby! Do you know whether the baby is a boy or girl yet?

To answer your question...Every woman's labor is different from the next. All us woman can do is give you our experiences! My first labor I had an epi so didnt have any pain. Took me a half hr to push her out. Weirdly enough, I also had an outta body experience with her! Ive never had it since, either. With my second daughter the nurse said I wasnt in labor so I ended up delivering her natural. She was my largest at just shy of 8 lbs. It wasnt too bad, though. I did tear while having her and got 2 sutures without being numbed! (i was po'd at my doc for this) with my son I also had an epi. I had no pain with him and I had him in one contraction. He was also my smallest at about 6 1/2 lbs. After I had him, I had no pain and didnt even feel like I had a baby. One thing I will suggest is using something as a visual point. With my first, I had a mirror so I could watch myself deliver. With my other 2 I just focased on something in the room or my own thoughts. I hope this helps alittle :) once again, good luck! Jeannine
