Do you feel your child is ready for a
(toddler) bed? If so, go ahead ;)

Babies? Babies should always stay in a
crib. Toddlers can use a toddler bed. I
prefer to keep using the crib though, it
might be time for a toddler bed.
My daughter stayed in her crib until she
was 3. I took the side rail off. Why did
I keep her there until she was 3? She
felt safe in her crib. She didn't like
her toddler bed. And keeping your
children feeling safe and secure is what
parenting is about ;)
she would not nap in her toddler bed
either. So it was a no brainer for me to
keep her in the crib - even with the side
rail off.

I think it depends on the child. I moved
my son out of his crib when he was 2 years
old, he was starting to crawl out of his
crib, and always wanted to sleep in my
bed, because it was a "big bed". So, I
went and got him his very own "big bed".
I do think 1 and a half and younger though
is too young, because you then risk more
falls, accidents, etc. You should make
sure you will hear your child wake, and
that your child will come to you or the
bathroom first. Be careful of stairs,
windows, etc.
Good luck.

Jace is 13 months and I wouldnt trust him
in any other type of bed but his crib..He
rolls over to much and would crawl out of
bed and get into everything..I will
probably switch him over once he starts
using the big boy potty and is able to
talk..Probably 2 or 2
and a half..I am not in a rush..:(

not saying your stupid
nat but that sounds kinda dumb.Once the
baby starts to roll over, they say use a
cot or whatever.Well if the baby just
started to roll they obviously don't know
how to walk yet and could roll right off
the bed. What were those people thinking
when they put that on there? Maybe i'm
missing something

they are alittle older cot bed, cribs are
tiny just like moses baskets and mine is a
rocking one so I cant imagin a baby thats
startin to roll around and anyways they r
not very deep either :p maybee yous call a
babys cot a crib but maybe thats were the
confusion is

That's probably what it is.
Oni's gonna stay in her crib until she's
old enough to make it a "toddler bed" then
it'll turn into a "big girl" bed.

Yeah they are so worth the money ..Jace
has one I payed around 700 dollars for
it..And I love it..And probably will use
it for my next little one..It is a 5
step..It does it all..Lol
i would seriously recommend them to
anyone..I think in the end you save money
because going through all those steps is
going to cost just as much buying them all
seperate..If not more..

yeah I think shes talking about a
basinette....Thats not nearly close to the
size of a crib.....My nephew satyed in his
crib until he was 2 yrs old....One time he
slept in my bed with me because thats
where he fell asleep to nap and he fell
off..So ..Crib until at least 2

They don't last very long though. They're
good for traveling with a new baby.

To be honest with you, put a bed beside
the crib to get your child used to the
bed, we didnt take our daughter out of the
crib until she could start to climb out
(which then becomes dangerous.) elisa was
about 19 months when she started to climb
out, you just raise the bars when baby is
able to sit up/pull himself up on the
bars.
