Posted: 09-03-06 10:49am

Hello there
i have been with my partner for nearly 2 years he works away from home . A few weeks ago he told me wasnt feeling too well coughing and couldnt get rid of the cold or cough but when he got had blisters on his foot and the other foot was just painful couldnt get better
but accidentally I opened his computer and found fotos of 3 different women and he agreed that he paid for sex . Could he be infected with some kind of virus he insisted that he used condoms and he had sex with just one
i fear a lot cos there is a lot aids all over the place he is based in africa now

It would be rather advisable not to panic at this moment, yet to be cautious about his risk behaviour. You could do a few things to protect him and yourself and the family.

1. Avoid sex until you get him for a examination of viral diseases
2. Talk to him casually about when was the last time he had involved in a risk behaviour and get him examined for hiv or other viral infection atleast 3 months after the risk exposure
3. Advise him that you are there for him and he need not go out to taste cappucino .

Thats all for now
regards

Africa. It depends on the exact area, but I know that in south africa a staggering 20% of people have hiv/aids. That's quite scary and you should be a bit worried. Yet again... It's harder for men to get it; the only way is if he had a cut on his genitals.
