Pregnant On the Pill??
Posted: 09-06-06 20:09pm

Hi everyone,

i'm new to this site but needed some advice. The first day of my last period was july 26. I was too start again on august 24 and begin my new pack of pills on august 27. I am now 2 weeks late for my period. I am not very good at taking my pills (i never have been and missed a few last month as I usually do-i know, I know). In the nine years that I have been on the pill, this has never happened. I have never even been a day late for my period, no matter how many pills I may have missed. I had some cramping on the day my period was supposed to start, am a little more tired than usual, urinating a little more frequently, irritable, and having some mild lower back aches. I am just starting to second guess myself and think it's all in my head because my symtoms are not that bad. I guess I just feel that I would have more symtoms or signs if I were pregnant. I have taken several hpt's and all have come back negative. I am engaged to be marries, so although this pregnancy would be unexpected it wouldn't be unwanted. What do you think? What are my chances of being pregnant and has this ever happened to anyone else? Thanks for any advice I get.

sounds like you aren't pregnant with all those negative hpts. After long term use of birth control you can stop having your periods.

If you are concerned, go see your doctor.

Good luck!!

I got pregnant with my second daughter while on the pill. And no, I hadnt missed any nor did I take any other meds including antibiotics. Its always possible. If you are that concerned, check with your doctor. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice jeannine. I just don't know what to think. I know that missing pills can mess with your cycle and stressing about being pregnant can also, but with all these negative results and knowing this has never happened to me before has me confused as to what I should think. I go to my doctor on friday. I guess I won't know until then.
