Can You Stop An Abortion After You Start the Procedure? Posted: 09-07-06 04:07am
Does anyone know if someone starts to have
a d&e procedure started, can they have
the sponge material that is inserted in
the cervics to start the dilation taken
out and stop the abortion process from
this point or is it too late?...This is a
two day procedure...First they insert the
sponge sticks in the cervics to start the
dilation and the next day finish the
abortion...I was wondering if the process
can be stopped after having the sponge
sticks inserted the first day?

yes they can hun although you will need a
cervical stitch inserted to continue the
pregnancy without any mishaps

I've never heard of this kind of abortion
- at what stage of pregnancy is it usually
done?

never heard of it done that way(sticks)
had to terminate due to cancer many years
ago,was told I had to make the
decision-kills me each day,consulted my
church, still haunts me,I wanted the baby
though it was lacking brain
development, and was told by more than one
doctor he will never go to term, much less
survive,I lost a boy,Adam,at 32 wks,the
year before,I didn't have it in me again
for that pain, but looking back,I may have
,though his development was decreasing,I
wish I had the time with him while I
could,his father couldn't stand the
thought, and I needed treatment ASAP. Thank
the Lord that I had 3 beautiful boys after
that, though 2 blighted ovums in between.
my ''vote is for life'' """"I am horrified
any procedure is done with sticks, and
takes 2 days-I was awake,and if I hadn't
been so drugged, would have stopped,I tried
and couldn't respond,will never forget
the horror and the memory,it was not my
right ,even with ''mother before
child''from the church,I should have laid
down my life for him,but had a 5yr old
girl at home,I am still so torn ,and now
have a loving,wonderful husband,who knows
my past,loves me,respects me,and accepts
me,and my child,he loves her like he
brought her into this world, and for
that,God has been gracious to me,why I
don't understand, but he is. VOTE FOR LIFE,
FIGHT FOR LIFE !!
