Left eye is Blurry, see Halos around lights at Night Posted: 09-07-06 21:35pm
The vision in my left eye started to get
blurry and return to normal when I was
about 14. Now I am 20 and my left eye is
completely blurry while my right eyes sees
fairly well. Both of my eyes see halos and
starbursts at night when I look at mostly
small lights. This causes headaches, and
cofusion when trying to read things.
Lately im also having trouble doing simple
things without getting confused. I feel
like im in a dream constantly. Im finding
that im losing my appetite and get tired
much easier as well. To me this sounds
like im dying, but im hoping that somebody
can tell me a simple solution to this
problem. I have an appointment for the
opthamologist, but that is in two weeks
and this is killing me so im looking for
answers. I tried starting school, but I
couldnt think straight and pay attention
in class.

I was wandering why you have waited so
long to visit an ophthalmologist. Have
you been to an ophthalmologist in the last
6 years? It seems to me that you are
experiencing an eye disorder such as a
"severe refractory anomaly" or even
something else. Headache and confusion can
be related to the eye disorder. The other
symptoms (loss of appetite, tiredness,
thoughts of dying, unable to think
straight and pay attention…) might be
due to some psychiatric disorder...
probably depression. You can visit a
psychiatrist or other mental health
professional after a visit with the
ophthalmologist to address these separate
issues.
