According to the symptoms you indicate
(nausea, dizziness, bloating, gas, sharp
pain in the stomach area, swelling in the
sternum and bloating, pain in the lower
left side radiating to the left side of
back), you might have a peptic ulcer on
the stomach or duodenum. A hiatus hernia
(you already have it) may also have the
same symptoms, but a peptic ulcer must be
either excluded or confirmed. To confirm
a peptic ulcer you can perform a
gastroscopy. You may also request an
abdominal ultrasound to exclude
gallbladder stones. You can ask for an
expert opinion from a gastro-intestinal
internist.
