Ok, I am 28 weeks pregnant and this
morning I woke up and I am feeling
terrible. For breakfast I had a bowl of
special k and skim milk. Lunch I had
sauteed broccoli and snow peas with rice.
About an hour and a half later, I checked
my blood sugar with my secretary's
diabetic monitor and it was 201.
(normally about 114) and my blood pressure
is 132/97 (normally 114/66). Should I be
worried and go to the er?

If things aren't feeling right, you have
every right to go to the er. Heaven
forbid you don't go and something
happens.
I say go. You can never be too careful
when your pregnant!!

I agree with .Sarah.
I'd go! If it's nothing, then voila,
they'll send you home.
But if it is something, then you'll be in
the right place.
If you feel like something is wrong, don't
hesitate!

Well, I went to the maternity floor and
they monitored the baby for about 6
hours.. At first they couldn't find her
heart beat, but we later found out it was
because she was hiding in my rib cage :)
they said everything is ok with her. Her
heart beat fluctuated from 143-167bpm.
They ordered toxemia labs and everything
came back good:) they said that she's
about 4 pounds already and that could be
the reason why I don't feel her as much:)
the doc on call said "how many weeks did
you say you are?" and I said "28" he said
"well (laugh) you might expect her sooner
than 12 weeks from now. She's about the
size of a 30 week fetus and we here at
this unit don't let babies this big go to
long"
