minocycline and dianette + contraceptives and tender boobs Posted: 09-09-06 19:34pm
Hi, guys.
I developed sudden acne about a year ago.
I'm 28 and have never been troubled with
spots, not even through puberty.
I had my hormone levels tested and they're
fine.
I started using panoxyl for 6 weeks. I
didn't work.
I used quinoderm for 6 weeks. That failed
to work, too.
My gp then prescribed me minocycline for 6
months. I returned for a check up after 2
months. My skin, if anything, was
worsening. So, he gave me a prescription
for dianette to take alongside the
minocycline.
I'm now 4 months into the minocycline and
just started my second pack of dianette
and my skin seems to have improved
slightly.
Just a couple questions:
my boobs have become pretty tender and
have grown about a cup size since starting
the dianette. Is this normal?
Also, will my contraceptive cover be lower
as i'm taking the minocycline?
