Do Safe Times Really Exist?
Posted: 09-11-06 21:51pm

People say the safest time to have unprotected sex and allow the guy to cum in u are 2-3 days b4 and after ur periods is this true?

I had sex and the guy came in me and the day after my periods came, I was just wondering if its still possible for me to preg. I would say no but some ppl would argue other wise.

I know some ppl can be pregnant and still have a period.

Thanks for any input

You can get pregnant at any time a guy comes inside of you.
It all just depends on when you ovulate.

To know when those days are for sure, you really have to be in tune with your body.

Always use a condom and birth control.

the majority of women don't know when they ovulate. To know that, you need to chart your menstrual cycle with temping, etc.

If you do not wish to become pregnant, always use birth control. And, please, have your partner wear a condom.

You can get free birth control (and condoms!) at planned parenthood.

I think the point she was trying to make is that no,
there are no safe times. You can get pregnant at
any given point during your cycle. Any.

The only "safe time" there is to let a man ejaculate into you without making you pregnant is when you're pregnant already. :)

my husband and I were careful for years and years because we didn't want to become pregnant before we were ready. Once I was pregnant, it was such a relief to not have to worry about birth control... We could just get right to it without having to fumble around with things beforehand.

If you don't want a baby right now, don't take the risk. You're playing russian roulette each time you have unprotected sex. There's been more than one woman that's gotten pregnant a day after her cycle, and even *on* her cycle. Use protection every time unless you're okay with getting pregnant. Good luck.

Lol I know it's stupid but it's sooo true! I remember my husband went to get the condoms one day out of habit and I asked him what he was doing. He laughed and said "oh yeah!"

it was nice not having to worry about it for the next 8 months!

That would be so messy though. You'd have to lay down towels or something. That'd break my mood right there. Like laying down newspapers for a puppy! Ugh. I'd rather wait a few days.
