Dying>>?? Help? Posted: 09-12-06 11:32am
I know this isnt preggo related but some
of you girls know more on this subject
than I do myself, anyways my grandfather
told me today his cancer is back, the only
catch they refuse to give him
chemo/radiation.
So far pops has had, surgery to remove the
tumour, radiation for 12 weeks 30 mins
everday (something like that) it went away
for 2 years and all of a sudden his psa
test came positive for prostate cancer
again. My grandfather is my father (he
is the one who raised me 85% of the time)
he has loved when my parents turned their
back and I dont want to loose him.
I need to know if there is other options
available, the dr said when his psa comes
back abit higher they are going to start
him on hormones (i know these only slow it
down but can he get chemo??Anyone??)
the one person I truly care about (besides
hubby/kids) I want to help him anyway I
can, he wont admit hes dying but I saw his
face, I just about cried but I need to be
strong for him.

Is it because of his age that they wont do
anymore chemo?
Maybe he can move to the .U.S and seek
medical help here.
I honestly dont know, .Jess. I wish I
could help more.

I am so very sorry to hear about your
.Grandpa why can't they take some of these
idiots? I am the same way in a way, my
.Grandmother practically raised me because
my step-mother was an alchoholic and did
not want to raise any more children but my
sister was okay because she was older than
me and my .Dad was a farmer, working most
of the time and did not know what was
going on but now she is raising her
grandaughter (44y/o) her son her favorite
great grandson who is getting out of jail
after 2 years that could never do no
wrong. So I totally understand where you
are coming from!
Have you asked them about a medcal
casteration(sp), it is where they give
them a very expensive shot and meds that
you take every four hours for a couple of
days. I used to work for a man that got
this and it really helped him along with
two blood transfusions(i don't think the
transfusions had anything to do with it or
not but it seemed to buy him some good
time, his psa went down and all if he
would not have had the negative habits
that he did I felt that he might have
lived longer but his cancer moved into his
bones but it might be worth asking about,
if his cancer has not spread yet!
You and your .Grandpa are in my thoughts!

against prostate cancer. You can find
information about it on wall street
journal and cnn and many other medias.Look
through the following website, I am here
to help not to advertise. If you are
interested in it ,i can give you more
