8 Weeks Pregnant, And Worried Posted: 09-12-06 14:05pm
I have a 13 month old daughter, and the
pregnancy with her went wonderfully. I am
now eight weeks pregnant with my second
child, and unfortunately have experienced
very light bleeding only after intercourse
however. Has anyone else experienced
this, and what was the cause?? I am
really concerned, and can not reach my
doctor. Any suggestions or words of
wisdom?

although I have never personally
experienced this sort of thing, I hear
it's quite common. My mother has been a
midwife/obgyn nurse for 20 years and I
hear of this a lot. If I were you, I
would try to relax... Sit down and have
some tea and calm your nerves. Just wait
to hear from your Dr. I know it's hard
with a 1 year old running around, but
doing anything physically strenuous might
exaserbate the bleeding:) my thoughts are
with you!

I had the same thing early on in my
pregnancy..I didn't have intercourse often
because it hurt.. And I did bleed 2 times
afterwards.. It wasn't anything heavy
just light bleeding.. Possibly from the
penetration. During my second trimester
intercourse became easier as there was
more fluid secretion due to the increase
in blood flow.. I am now 35 weeks
pregnant with a healthy baby boy! I wish
