Pregnancy After 2 Miscarriages
Posted: 09-14-06 15:26pm

I have had two miscarriages this year. Both were discovered by ultrasound, the first one showing the pregnancy stopped progressing at 9 ½ weeks and the second one at 10 weeks. Both times I had no symptoms besides mild cramping and a bad feeling. I have had one healthy pregnancy (she is now 4 years old) with the only complication being hyperemisis.
So, now I am (according to my last period) 6 wks 3 days pg. I took the home test on sunday and went straight to my doctor monday morning. He immediately started me on progesterone suppositories, told me to take a baby aspirin every day, had lab work done, and scheduled an early ultrasound for wednesday (yesterday). I went yesterday and the ultrasound barely picked up the embryo (dating the pg “way earlier” in the tech’s words) and my hcg levels were low. The doctor said it could just mean it was earlier than we thought and sent me for another blood test today and scheduled me for another ultrasound next wednesday. He said with the results combined we should have definitive answers on wednesday.
Okay... So help... I am new here and I need advice. I feel sometimes like no one wants to give it to me straight. Is this probably another miscarriage? Could it be related? Could it be chance? Is there a chance it is coincidence? Also I have had mild cramping and not many pregnancy symptoms (no nausea, no tender breasts, no more tired than usual). Any opinion on my odds, situation... Anything else I can be doing? Any advice, on how to make the waiting easier?

I think 6 weeks is way too early for an ultrasound

.That was at exactly 6wks.
I'm currently almost 14wks,
&.I didn't feel any symptoms [except for sore breasts] until .I was about 8wks. I also suffered a miscarriage immediately before this pregnant. I didn't even have a period before .I got pregnant again.

Try not too stress too much.
&.Good luck!
Let us know what you find out next week, ok?

For the responses... My ultrasound photo looked so different than yours, barely detectable, but they told me that might be because the pregnancy is earlier than we thought. Thanks for the encouraging, don't stress... I am trying my hardest not to, but it helps to hear again. Now I just have to wait... That is the hardest part, right?!?

I will keep you all updated. Thank you so much for caring!
