Q: Letting Off Pregnancy Steam

I'm starting to pass a little bit more mucus than usual. It's not a lot, but just a little more. I'm sure this is normal, but i'm nervous. I'm 60-80% effaced as of tuesday and i've been having braxton hicks. I'm just panicking I guess. What can I expect? I only have 6 weeks left. I have 2 weeks left to work, but i'm thinking of stopping sooner. My job requires me to be on my feet for most of the day and I don't want things to get worse and possibly have her early. I just want her to stay in for another 4 weeks and I don't want anything I did to make her come early. I'm feeling guilty b/c I know i've been overdoing it. I could barely walk on my left foot today b/c I went to walmart last night for groceries alone and it took almost 2 hours. I guess I need to start asking for help. It's just so hard to realize that you can't do it anymore and need the help.
Thanks for listening.

Does your doctor seemed concerned about you working? Maybe give him a call and explain the stress your having and see what he thinks. Even if you don't call him, if you think work is too much to handle, let them know. You and your babies health are more important. Get lots of rest and try to relax :) you'll be fine.

My doc was awesome. I was having serious pain in one of my hips when I was 7 1/2 months, and she immediately put me on bed rest. When it didn't improve after a week, she took me off work completely.

Talk to your docs. They probaly won't have a problem giving you a doctor note saying you need to go on leave now. Heck, they'll probably encourage it! I know mine did. :)

Yep I would def. Talk to the doc. Also if you do alot of weight bearing or standing ask for a stool or something now. They can not deny you of it, or ask for a light duty note either or. Good luck to you.
