Eeewww! Lol...Buut that's tiny!! The day of my labor I just experienced a lot of thick white cream. No blood, until the gave me my initial cervical check.

Yea you have one. It can actually fall out numerous times. And your body actually makes another one. I believe, and correct me yall if i'm wrong, but the mucus helps to protect your cervix!

I think it literally works like a cork at the cervix. The baby's entirely sealed off and protected.

The mucus plug is just an accumulation of secretions that form within the opening to the uterus, also called the cervical canal. The fact that mucus accumulates early in pregnancy is quite beneficial, as it serves to create a protective barrier against infection between the outside world and your growing baby. Once your cervix starts to thin out and dilate, it comes out.
