If you are looking to get into a casual
relationship, i.E., not with the idea of
meeting someone to marry and have kids
with, or even a commited relationship
without kids, does knowing the man has a
vasectomy make him more or less
attractive?

neither more or less to me. If I were to
be in a 'casual' relationship, i'd wear
protection and multiple forms of birth
control. So the vasectomy part would be a
null point.
However, I do think it would mean a lot to
some women who were in a casual
relationship.
If I was in search of a meaningful
relationship, it would make a huge
difference. And I always figure, why am I
with a person just for sex? Unless I
really like him, I am not with him.

a thoughtful question.............But how
do you bring up this subject? I'm
assuming after a period of
time.....................I suppose if your
in a casual relationship it would be more
attractive.............But to even bring
up the "vasectomy" before you have
established some sort of relationship is,
er...........................Creepy.
I dunno, maybe old fashioned here but I
really don't buy the whole casual
sex/relationship
thing......................Especially
where females are concerned............We
and I hope men feel the same
way..............Really want someone to
really care and love
us.....................Married or not,
children or not. ~my views only~ :)

I agree with ingi.
Personally, I would be more worried about
std protection than birth control in a
casual sex 'relationship'.
However, if your f'ck buddy isn't into
condoms then yes, it would make you more
attractive.

Allow me to clarify: I am looking for an
ltr, but so far, not much joy, and things
go the way they go when you're dating -
they all pretty much start out as casual
relationships, no?
Anyway, I already have kids, don't want to
have any more myself, hence the vasectomy,
and ideally, my partner would feel the
same way.
And no, I don't generally bring it up,
unless the condom breaks or something, and
I do use condoms, sometimes even vinyl
gloves - i'm just curious how you feel
about the vasectomy itself - does it take
the element of risk out of the whole thing
or what?

This is just me, and maybe i'm strange but
I don't fully trust any form of birth
control. If you look at the statistics,
nothing is 100% effective and I can't
trust 99.9% - you know, someone has to
fall into the .001 category or it wouldn't
exist.
So, yes a vasectomy would definitely take
away the risks and worries.

I personally would find a man with a
vasectomy
attractive............Why?............
1)i'm a old broad(43 but still fertile
unfortunately).................No more
kids......Have two......Love
children.....But the bod can only take so
much;
2)once you have decided you want to take a
chance with this person, and the whole std
thing has been discussed.....I don't want
a condom(detest those things).......Skin
on skin is always better.
3)i've had the ol'tubes
tied................And I think that makes
me "more attractive??" at least to the
opposite sex who feel the same way as I
do,ie................... No more
children
.............Don't get me wrong,
absolutely adore
children............However, there are
dangers to having children at my
age.....My youngest is disabled and
"needs" to be the "baby"(most
attention).....Not to mention.....I'm a
little selfish and wanna have some .Me
time..........
.........And yes of course it takes the
risk and worries out. :)
