Stupid Me...

I'm so stupid. I think i've asked this question about 2 times in this forum, & everytime I ask, I get the same reply & everything was alright in the end... So why do I still worry?

I just want as many people to reply as possible... If you know for a fact, or if you've experienced this, or if you know of anyone who has experienced this...

Basically, I just want to know if it's possible to still get a regular "period" when you're supposed to, while on birth control pills yet be pregnant?

I'm wondering this because I recived my period during the 3rd day of my sugar pills... That's how it's been for months now, always on time. However, i'm just worried beause I feel as though i'm constantly hungier than usual, I feel like i'm gaining weight, and I think I noticed my tummy looking more bloated/popped out.

So basically... Should I have this crazy anxiety about being pregnant?
My boyfriend and I always use condoms as well, however there may have been times where we fooled around without a condom, but never had intercourse without one. I also take the pills correctly all the time... So why is this weird change happening to my body? I've also been on birth control for over 6 months now, so i'm use to them...

Any insight? Lol I need to ease my mind, damn it!

Your symptoms could be caused by the birth control pills. They in no way sound like pregnancy symptoms. The chances of getting a regular period while being on birth control and wearing a condom are so close to zero, it wouldn't even be worth calculating.

If this continues to concern you, you can always use spermicide with the condoms and the birth control pills. If you are still paranoid, you can limit your sexual contact. But, basically, condoms and bcp are incredibly 'safe'. The only thing that is 100% safe is not to engage in sex at all.

That said, you will always find someone who has some story about a friend of a friend who knew someone who got pregnant while on the pill. And everyone has a story about getting pregnant on condoms. So, inevitably there will be a story about both. Just listen to your own instincts.

If you think you are pregnant, take a pregnancy test.

Wow that is weird. I always get my period on the 3rd day of my sugar pills and I have the same exact symptoms you are describing [hungry, weight gain, tummy looks bigger!] - yet I know i'm not preg.

Go to the store and get a whole load of pregnancy tests. You are already using birth control and condoms, how else do you want to protect yourself? Being on the 4th month you are 99.9% safe already and now you are adding on condoms.

It may just be the brith control pills. Go talk to your obgyn, see what she or he says.

I understand that you are afraid of getting pregnant but birth control is 99.9% safe. Or something close to that. Are you under 18, is that why you are so afraid? Are you afraid your parents will find out?

I get exactly the same thing. I seriously cant tell you how much that describes my situation. I'm on the b/c pill, I get stomach ache/bloating for a week before my period am hungrier my stomach looks round and I come on 3 days after my 7 days break..And have a proper period so know full well im not pregnant and me and my boyfriend use condoms.

I was very paranoid about those symptoms for a while and actually took 4 pregnancy tests which came back clear negative. So dont worry girl, alot of us go through the same thing. Your being responsible and using protection. I think every woman adjusts to the pill differently. If its making you feel bad though talk to your doctor or gyno. Good luck!! Xx

i know, I know... I just have a mind that is never at ease, nor is my mind ever sure. I just got worried because for the first 5 months or so the pills didn't really have too much of an effect on my body, physically... I didn't bloat, nor did I gain weight... And my appitite was slightly higher. Now I feel like everything is going crazy... And I wonder why, if my body is use to the pills and i've adapted to them, why would this be happening now? So my mind results to thinking i'm pregnant.

And no, i'm 19... So it's not really a matter of being scared someone like my mom will find out, it's more... Scared to of getting pregnant... I'm not ready, nor do I have any plans on doing so anytime soon... Which is why I use the pill and condoms.

Anywho, thanks for your reply
