a Baby's Weird Little Ways

Aly's a silly little thing! I've been staring at her for the past hour or so because she does the weirdest little things!

She wants to suck on my finger, but .I'm afraid that my fingernail might scratch the roof of her mouth or maybe her tongue. She sucks on it so hard and fast! She doesn't like her paci that much and I know she's fed.

She's been making lots of cute noises today. She puts her mouth in an o shape and goes "ooh ooh", like a monkey. And she makes "ahh" noises a lot when she's chilling.

She waves her arms around when she's on her back. It reminds me of the .Karate .Kid movie, like "wax on wax off". She also keeps (accidentally) closing her fist around my hair and pulling. That mess hurts!

I kiss her cheeks a lot, and today she kept turning her mouth towards mine. I guess I was setting off her nursing instinct, but it was sweet... Almost like she was trying to kiss back!

Her tear ducts work now, and it's so sad to see tears running down her face when she's crying. She's a little drama queen.

And she makes the saddest little whimpers when she's lonely. If I have her laying down in my lap and she wants to be held, she sticks out her bottom lip and makes the most pitiful little "woe is me" sounds! It breaks my heart!

This girl is going to have us sooo trained!

Yes definately enjoy every moment!!! My daughter is almost a year old and she doesn't really want anything to do with me anymore. She is walking and trying to talk and into everything!!! I love watching her learn and grow! I miss the newborn stage...When you just sit and stare in amazement of how beautiful they are and the funny little things that they do! Its awesome!! I love being a mom....I found that since my daughter has been born...It seemed like every week she was doing something "new". One thing I wished I had done was write them all down...But I did get out the camera every month and kept her milestones on there. Well enjoy because pretty soon your beautiful baby will be walking and into everything as well....Congrats on being a mommy it truly is a blessing=)

I used to love it when my little boy was a baby and he'd say, in this gorgeous gentle little voice: "ahhhhhhh gooooooo" over and over. Ahh, I loved the 'ahhgoo' stage.
