I have had to wait 3 months for a gall
scan ( im in the uk) and am in the
meantime suffering both left and right
upper pain in the chest radiating through
to my back. Is referred pain to the left
possible with gall stones/ gall bladder
issues? Ive had an ecg which was fine
and was prescribed omeprazole for my
stomach and tramadol for pain which ive
had to stop because it disagreed with me.
Im now taking co cododamol which is 500mg
paracetamol and 30 mgs codeine in each
pill. I take two up to 4 x a day and its
not touching the pain. I know im not a
typical gall bladder attack description
but my gp has told me that general aches
can last for months and it doesnt always
have to be a huge attack. Under the ribs
and central chest seems to be the most
pain and shoulder blade pain on both sides
of the back. Anyone relate?

I was 18 when I had to remove my gaul
bladder with 22 gaul stones....I was sick
for a year and a half because they could
not find anything wrong with me cause I
was so young. The pain that you
describing is exactly what I was going
through but remember as time goes by the
pain gets progressively worse....I hope
you feeling better. Try get this sorted
out as soon as possible....
