the Patch Posted: 09-19-06 10:31am
I went on the patch awhile ago and I ended
up bleeding for almost 2 months straight,
I had such bad abdominal pain that I
couldn't even move and couldn't get it to
stop. They finally told me to get off the
patch and they gave me hormone pills to
stop the bleeding. Now i'm not on any
birth control and i'm not on anything and
i've been getting severe abdominal pains
and pain in my lower region and no one can
explain it to me. I want to go back on
the patch but the doctors here wont tell
me why the patch made me bleed so bad
before. I have 2 children 5 and 2 and I
need to be on something and the patch is
the easiest thing for me to remember. Can
anyone tell me what is up with the patch
and what should I do

i would really try and get an answer from
them about the bleeding and what caused
it. If they will not give you answers, I
would suggest going to someone that will!
Going to someone who doesn't care about
your concerns is never a good thing. I
know some people have got the iud. I
guess they recommend you get it after you
have children, but don't have too. You
can always try a different type of pill
also. Something with less or more
hormones. It's a trial and error thing
when it comes to our bodies. Finding what
our bodies are willing to accept. I am
currently on the shot and haven't had any
real problems like some other people. But
we're all different. First, figure out
why you did/still are bleeding and get
that abdominal pain checked out. Go to
someone that is going to care for you.
Not just give you something and shoo you
away. I guess that would be the first
step. ^_^

I dont trust the patch, my friend got
pregnant on it. It also has a higher dose
of hormones putting you at higher risk of
bloodclots and stroke.
Try an iud or nuvaring.
Not something you have to think about
everyday
