3d Ultrasounds?
Posted: 09-20-06 17:06pm

Hey guys, .I really want to have a 3d/4d ultrasound done!
I'm only 14wks right now, but .I was wondering if you guys
have had one done &when you had it &how much it cost for you..
(.I live in the states, by the way).

I really want to have one done,
&.I know my doctor's office offers them.
But it's too late to call now, &.I'm curious.

I really wanted to have one done, but we were (and still are) pretty tight budget-wise, and knew our money would be better spent on other things. Where I live, it's around $200 or so.

Where do you live?

I was checking prices for places in .Illinois [where .I live]
&.Most of them were in between $99 & $160..
Depending on what you got with the package.
But .I couldn't find anything close to the city .I live in.

Mainly .I guess .I just want to know when they generally do them.

Oh, sorry! I live in .Louisiana.

I want to say they do them between 18-30ish weeks, but that's a guess. I really have no idea.

Lol, don't apologize, you dork!

My next appointment is at 18wks,
so .I definitely want to call before then.
Just to see what they have to say.

Also, does anyone know the difference
between level 1 &level 2 ultrasounds?

There's a place here that does free level 1 ultrasounds,
&if a level 1 ultrasound can tell you gender,
.I am definitely going, haha.

I paid $159 and got about 20 pictures, a dvd of the 30 minutes session, and a cd with the pictures on them. I went at 29 weeks and that was perfect. Any earlier than 26 they're too skinny, any later than 32 they're too fat. My doctor tried to get a good shot at 31 weeks and she was already too big. I'd recommend based on my experience to go 27-30. Mines came out perfect. She was very photogenic (sp?).

I've had them for both my second and third pregnancy--i can't tell you the cost because i'm in canada so it was covered because it was a medical necessity due to my son's (first pregnancy) birth defects.

For my second pregnancy, I was scheduled to have it on april 1st, and wouldn't you know it, everything closed down due to sars. So it was delayed and I got to around 24 weeks when my midwife started panicking that it hadn't been done because past 24 weeks, the baby is too big. I think she meant that they couldn't get an all body shot at that point. I think I was around 21 weeks with the last one.

They're just too cool!!

I don't know where in illinois you are, but I went to a place in naperville (just southwest of the city) to have a gender determination u/s. I only paid $85, but it was only 2d...I just wanted to know what I was having since she had her legs crossed at my 21 week ultrasound.

That place wasn't too expensive though.

i didn't even know you could get just a gender determination ultrasound. That's awesome. If all else fails, looks like .I'll definitely be doing that, lol.

There Is No Need to Go For the Ultrasound... Read This
Posted: 09-21-06 06:54am

Hi friend that symptoms you mention about your wife like sore nipples, bloating, fatigue, constant urination in the middle of the night, tiredness…etc so it is impossible to say that your wife is pregnant or not because there are lot of symptoms that are related with the pregnancy edit . All the symptoms you mention can be present in many other conditions, including pregnancy. Lack of menstruation is the first sign of a possible early pregnancy. When a woman lacks her menstruation, the first thing what she should think about is pregnancy. Lack of menstruation is an unreliable sign of early pregnancy, it can also indicate a hormonally active follicular ovarian cyst, so any edit assumption regarding pregnancy should be verified with a home pregnancy test. A positive pregnancy test can then be confirmed with an ultrasound confirmation of the fetus. Most women do not feel ovulation (although it is possible). After ovulation, the body temperature rises slightly and that’s how it can be detected. Another method for detecting ovulation is using ovulation tests.
You can take a home pregnancy test now to confirm or exclude pregnancy.

Arcadia:

an level ii is when they look at the heart and the brain in detail to see if they are developing accordingly.

I had a 3d/4d done with my son and my daughter both. My son was so sick that they did one and then with my daughter it was 'medicaly nessisary' to make sure that she didnt have the same defects that he did. My son's are so perfect that I have them fraimed. They are beautiful.
