Treated For Being Bi-polar For 7 Years----now It's Gone
Posted: 01-24-04 19:32pm

Hello,
at first I was being treated as major depressive. After a few years and what seemed to be a nervous breakdown, I was diagnosed as being bi-polar. I was treated by 4 psychiatrists and 5 psychologists. Major medication to where all I wanted to do was sleep---all the time.
This all ended in april of 2003. I have not been on any medication since that time. I have no 'crazy' days, I sleep well at night, I have a brand new job and i'm doing well.
The only thing that any of us can decide that helped,,,,was a divorce. Now, the problem is gone.
Oh well, just think, all the money I spent on drugs, what a trip to jamaica I could have had.

Well dear, I am happy to hear that. However, if you really are bipolar be prepared. It doesn't ever just go away. And when getting off of certain medications you could feel fine for six months to a year and then have a horrible relapse. So just be careful, but hopefully you were just misdiagnosed because bipolar is nothing to take lightly. Take care.
