I am pretty sure it is illegal to abort at
6 month unless there is fetal abnormality
or the threat of death to the mother
abortion is always dangerous to at least
one human being

Please tell her not to do it. I think the
cut off is 3 or 4 months. At six months
you are killing a almost fully devoeloped
baby. I'm agaist abortion period but at
six months I think it could really mess up
the mother

I don't think she can at 6 months. I know
around here 12 weeks is the cut off.
Abortions can be harmful at anytime of
course not always (well at least to the
mother). If she has gone this long she
should finish out the pregnancy and give
the baby to a loving family who wants it.
I don't believe in abortions period unless
the mother has no choice (her life or
eptopic). I really hope she decides not to
even attempt it could end up very bad.

WOW! Thats a 'real' baby.. It could
survive outside of the womb at that age
with intensive care. I think it could
cause huge problems for her and wow thats
really sad. I am 5 months pregnant and my
baby wiggles and moves around. That would
have everything. I am really sorry to hear
so late in pregnancy thats what she's
thinking, but is there is problem with the
baby.. OR just with your friend

wow.. if abortion is safer than child
birth seems like ALL women would be scared
to death to give birth and they would all
be having abortions.
I think I need to seem some source for
that comment Rivermoon.
Never mind this is a Pro-life forum and it
sounds like you might be por-choice and if
so, you can't post in here. I see you are
new. You might want to read the rules.

I heard in texas you can abort LATe in
pregnancy, but I just think its sad at 6
months she would feel the little one
kicking and moving around. Oh well, its
my opinion. I am not sure what your friend
is going through. I sure hope that
everything works out for you and your
friend. She's lucky to have a friend like
you. Perhaps you could suggest adoption to
your friend?

No, you can't have an abortion at 6
months. A lot of babies are born at 6-7
months and survive. My nephew was born at
7 months and weighed 2 lbs. That was 30
years ago, and he is now 6'1" tall and
weighs 200 lbs. Yes, premature birth is
not as healthy for the baby, but aborting,
would be the end. Is that what she really
wants? Why would your friend have an
abortion this late in her pregnancy? It
will be the same as giving birth - only
ending it's life. Why is she against
adoption? I think a lot of women get
scared at this point in their pregnancy,
and just want to go back to the way things
were before. I remember when I was taken
to the hospital, in labor, I just wanted
to go back home because we are all scared
of the unknown.

I guess I didn't post accurately - I just
meant, no - you SHOULD NOT have an
abortion at 6 months. Legally, I don't
know, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Sadly, there are states where you can abort right up to delivery

Kansas is one good example of that.
George Tiller will abort at any time, for
any reason....... and there are people
trying to get him prosecuted for his
illegal acts. But his political
contributions have bought him a lot of
political power, so it's going to be very
hard to get a conviction in Kansas. The
governor is very much proabort, and she
got a lot of money from him.
