Hi cadokat,

I sincerely hope that everything is ok and I'm sorry for your loss.

I also had an early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy) 2 weeks ago (9 June), I was 5 weeks too. Then I had unprotected sex on the 6th day of bleeding, however it had slowed to spotting. The next day the bleeding had stopped completely. I then had what looked like an implant bleed on 17 June and ever since all my pregnancy symptoms have returned. I took a hpt on 22 June but it showing negative. I will take another this Fri 26 to make sure.

Just because you are not experiencing preg symptoms doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. Did you experience symptoms prior to your miscarriage? Every pregnancy is different. Keep in mind that a lot of women don't actually experience pregnancy symptoms until around 10 - 12 weeks. Some however experience symptoms as soon as they conceive. If you tested positive at the Doctors and they confirmed that you are 6 weeks along then trust that. If you are still unsure due to you having a period like bleed then go back and ask for a re-test. Was the period a heavy one or a normal one?

Just out of curiosity, did you have an implant bleed with your current pregnancy? How long did your miscarriage bleeding last for? Finally if you count the 1st day of your miscarriage as day one of your cycle, on what day did you ovulate?

Sorry for all the questions. Please PLEASE keep me posted as to what happens. My thoughts are with you. Big hugs xo

Hi I forgot to mention that I already have two children and I experienced pregnancy symptoms with them therefore I am familiar with the symptoms. Only thing different this time is that I'm getting really bad headaches and feeling dizzy.

xx

i did not have an implant bleed and my miscarriage bleeding lasted for 8 days with bad cramping and fibre like clots.i started bleeding on the 6th may and stopped on the 13th may, i had sex on the 14th may which makes it 3 weeks 4days up to date, and the other confusing part is that the doc said am six weeks preg??????? how posible is this?

Seriously if you are not comfortable with your Dr's diagnosis then either ask for another preg. test or get a second opinion. It will make you feel much better and put an end to the stress you're putting yourself through.

It looks like your Dr has for some reason calculated a period (LMP) from Sun 10 May. Maybe he/she has done this because they figure that you most probably expelled the foetus by then, who knows. I am not sure whether you begin calculating your dates from the first day of bleeding or not. If I am pregnant I will have the same dilema.

So even though you had sex on the 14th and would've been ovulating then, looks like they're counting from an approximate LMP date of May 10. Sorry does this make sense? I'd also get your Dr to explain their calculations to you, because it also sounds confusing to me too! I'd be very interested to know how you go. Loads and LOADS of baby dust out to you cadokat. Keep me posted. xxoo

hey, last night i went to see the doc,to pop him with some questions, he was good enough and showed me how to calculate, my husband was anxious to check if the doc could do a scan and there it was my babies heart beat, we are so happy that everything is going quiet alright,he just told me to rest and i have been put on bed rest for a week no work for now, he also told me to hang in there as the signs will start showing later, but i have gained weight and the HCG levels are higher than last time i saw the doc, am really happy becoz i did not expect that i would fall pregnant that easily.
Am just 1 year in my marriage and we decided to start having them babies now...am so happy...

This is my third pregnancy and I guess I thought I could just compare it to my other ones but I don't remember if I did or did not feel this way. I am peeing more and more tired but I just don't feel it. I was relieved to see so may other people have had the same concerns. It makes me feel a bit less crazy! LOL!

Hi Ladies, I am new to this but I also wanted to say that I am 4 weeks pregnant and appart from the huge breasts and feeling spaced out and tired I don't feel pregnant.
This is an IVF baby and even though I have 2 children already and had no problems this feels very different, I am much more worried about this pregnancy. I have a scan next week and I am terrified that there won't be anything there!!

Last night i had horrible cramping especially my back, when i went to the loo i noticed that i was spotting(brownish)i have been having mild cramps from day one which the doc said its normal, but last night i felt like i was on fire, we called the doc but he told me to relax and elevate my legs, atleast it helped to calm the cramping, i have an appointment with the doc tomorow. Today i woke up with no cramps and no spotting...am so scared that may be i might miscarry again, am 10 weeks now and is it normal for this to happen at this stage?

No Symptoms
But I think what we are all saying is that whether the symptoms are a pain or not, at least we would have peace of mind knowing that we have some physical manifestation of a healthy pregnancy going on inside! I too, feel nothing. I am five weeks. No sore anything, I'm always tired in my normal life so nothing new there, no nausea, no cravings, no peeing more...no nothing. I do cramp a lot, but I haven't bled. I'm trying to relax, and I want to, but with my m/c experiences the worry I now have trumps any of the agony of the TWW!!! At least if I had morning sickness I would know something is indeed growing in there!

i just breathed a big 'ol sigh of relief. i'm almost 6 weeks and feel nothing. no morning sickness, that is. i DO have sore/tender breasts and get dizzy standing up too fast. i've had pretty bad heartburn but that seems to have gone away. i've been to the doc to confirm the pregnancy (positive) but don't have an ultrasound for 2 more weeks. i'm a nervous wreck. i feel soooo much better though reading this. thanks so much.

will i be able to hear/see a heartbeat at 8 weeks on an ultrasound? someone above said it would be too early...

This board has been a big relief. I am about 5 weeks now and I haven't really felt pregnant today. I was hoping that others felt the same. So far I've had it pretty easy. Just have huge boobs (which my husband is loving)and a slight cramp like feeling. This is my first pregnancy so I hope it all goes well Smile Thanks for the peace of mind.

Feeling pregnant at 5 weeks
With my son I had few symptoms and honestly don't remember when I started to feel pregnant. I know that I gained, like, 70 lbs...about 5 lbs per week until the 8th month and then 3-5 lbs every week there after. So I was showing around 3 months and I have the stretch marks to prove it. No one in my family gained more than 30!!! Now I'm 5 wks, 1 day pregnant with #2 and I was bloated the first 2 weeks (I could tell right away) but for the last 2-3 weeks...I'm thinking I need to take the test again, even though I took 2 tests in 1 week. No appointment until the first week in October.
