Stupid Question About Preg Tests Posted: 09-23-06 17:43pm
I was wondering if anyone could possibly
tell me whats going on
i took a test, one from a dollar store
(the test was called new choice) its one
of the ones where it has 2 lines, a c line
(if there is a line in just this its neg)
and a t line (if theres a line in both c
and t its pos)
so I put the urine on the test and it went
all the way trough and the c line got a
line, but not the t, then about 3 or so
minutes later I checked it again, just to
see and it had a very dark pronounced line
in the t area too
im not sure if this means its negative
still or if this means that its posative
but I just dont have a lot of hcg in my
urine yet
any help or advice would be very much
appretiated

When taking a preg test your sposta let it
sit for a couple minutes and come back to
cheak the test.. (it should say that in
the instructions) so by the sounds of it
this test said your pregnant.. So yeah I
would go in to see your doctor and get it
confirmed

It says not to read it after 10 minutes
because it sometimes give a positive after
that but its false.. So if u read it only
3 minutes after i'd say u are and to go to
the doctor.

I work in a hospital lab...And the test I
took here back on march 21 came out
positive...And to this day is still
positive. The c line is a control line
its shows up regardless, its basically a
"good" test or "bad" test line...The t
line is the test line, its the yes or no
line. And from what I have been told here
from our techs and the er dr's, a test is
a test whether you go to the dr or get one
from the dollar store. Take another one
and see if it's also positive. Good luck
either way!

I would say to go to the doctor on that
one. Most tests say to wait a few but not
to wait too long.
Make an appointment.

Trust it in the end. Because your suppose
to wait 5 or 10 minutes to view test
results. The more expensive brands will
show you right away but youre suppose to
wait. Why dont you go buy an ept?

on all the hpt tests ive
seen/used, they say it shows within 3-5
minutes,10 minutes is waaay too long to
wait

yes but a negative test can look like a
positive test if you leave it too long.
Your's came out positive to begin with.
If between 3 and 5 mins the test reads
positive then it's a positive.
If between 3 and 5 mins the test reads
negative then it's a negative - but if you
still think you are pregnant see a doctor.
