Hi ladies,
i have been on ortho evra since the
beginning of the year. I am about to get
my period..Hopefully tomorrow..But
anyways, I have had extreme discharge..Not
to be gross, but I have to wear a pad
because its almost like my period, but
just white discharge. And I also have
been extremely sore. I had sex with my
boyfriend, and it felt like I was being
torn apart. I was extremely sore before
we had sex, it felt like I had little
cuts..What could be wrong with me? I've
been on the patch for over 6 months..
Oh and by the way, I have been going in my
hottub almost everyday..And I just read
that this can up the dosage of
hormones..My doctor never told me about
this. Could this be what is causing it?
I've also been getting splitting
headaches, and I never used to get
headaches.

Just about every b/c works different on
every female. I have heard that heat
such as a heating pad or a hot tub can
cause the patch to put out more hormones,
you might want to talk to your dr about
this alot of b/c is trial and error, a
good person to talk to about this is to pm
cairifairy or talk to your dr or nurse or
the assistant. But I am defitely not
saying not to use it!
Good luck!

My friend got pregnant on ortho evra...She
used it properly and had been using it for
about a year too.
It also gives you higher dose of hormones
because they flow right into your
bloodstream from the skin, giving you a
higher chance of blood clots and strokes.
I dont know what could be causing your
symptoms, but from my experience ortho
evra is bad news altogether.
