Q: Are They Just Wives Tales?

Hey everyone, ever since I got pregnant the begining of july people have been giving me their opinion on how to tell if its a boy or girl(i get to find out in like 4-6 weeks yay). I know these are probably just wives tales but I was just wondering if anyone had heard of them or how true they are.

My grandmaw told me that if your nipples get a lot darker then its a boy and if they stay realy light then its a girl

i also had a friend tell me that if the babys heartbeat stayed at over like 155 bpm then it would be a girl and if the heartbeat was between 120-155 it was a boy?

If it has a penis its a boy if it has a vagina its a girl. Period.

Haha I dont believe in them at all but my nipples got really dark and I had a boy?

My nipples haven't changed much...
Except they're always hard &my actual nipples
(not my areolas) have gotten real big.
But .I don't know what .I'm having yet.
Although .I'm guessing girl!

I dunno?! I read somewhere that if your linea nigra (the dark line thats horizontal from your pubic area to your belly button) stays between the belly button and the pubic area that its a girl and if it runs all the way up and down (from pubic area to just below the sternum) its a boy! And its right for me..I'm having a girl. Atleast thats what my ultrasound shows everytime I go. Lol but most of the others i've read about are wrong.

I dunno someways I believe it other ways I dont but 3 people I know who done the string and ring test was all true

and it said im having a girl and my nipples are still light

Oh yeah! I forgot I done that one also and it was right! I'm not sure of the nipple thing, but I do know they are very very sore and i'm almost in week 30.

They arent true but I have a girl and I was craving orange juice and fuit thats an old wifes tale that ur haven a girl xx

Just wondering

all are tales...How can 120-155 solely be a boy when the "normal rates" are between 120-160!!!! Then all girls must have abnormal heart rates...

I did the ring test, the scissor and knife test, and the walking test and they all said boy. My dark line runs from the top of my stomach to the top of my vagina. My nipples have quadrupled in size and are purple/black. All of those things would say boy, but i'm definetly having a girl. Her heartbeat was 172 at first then it went down as low as 135 at one visit and it's back up to 155 as of yesterday. The heartbeat doesn't mean anything. My sister-in-law had a low for her daughter and a high for her son. The only way you can tell by the heartbeat is during labor and delivery.

yeah well..Excuse me for stating the facts about heartbeats....Ok letsall pretend old wives tales are far more accurate than the actual truth..Whatever!
