When Is Plan B Effective? Posted: 10-02-06 12:19pm


I had unprotected sex on sunday at about 4:30am and on saturday i had unprotected sex at about 4:30. That same monday I went to my doctor and got plan b. Will the pill still be effective?

Yes, it is effective for up to 5 days after unprotected sex, but it is most effective if you take it before 3 days is up.

Yes. It is effective up to 120 hours after sex. But more effective if taken within the first 48 hours.
