Q: C-section

My last child I had a c-section so I told my doc I wanted a c-section this time and I am having twins now the doc told me today I cant have a c-section until I go in to labor . Is this right?

From what my friends with twins have gone through...It is not true. But I think every doctor has a way with doing this. You should check around

That's odd.

Speak to your doctor again and if you would rather have your c-section scheduled, tell him that. I have never heard of them waiting for you to go into labor if they already know they are going to give you a c-section.

Yeah that is weird since I actually *told* my ob/gyno that I wanted another one (c-section) and he said *ok, we can do that.*

i dont know what to tell u, hun.. Its hard to say *get a second opinion* since its ur gyno.

my sister had to have a c-section with both her kids and they never made a date.They just let her go into labor.The first was because the babys arm was around its head and the second was because she was breach(sp?).I thought they might schedule them but no. . .

I just don't understand why the doctors would wait until you go into labor. I always thought it would be more dangerous that way.

I switched doctors and they wanted me to have a .V.B.A.C, but when I told them that my other obgyn told me that I needed a c-section. Then they told me that I needed to wait until I go into labor. Well once they ordered my medical records they saw that I had a classical section only then would they scedual it. However, I still went into labor.
