Hello, I was wondering if you have any
ideas as to what this might be?
I have had left epigastric area discomfort
off and on for two years. I have had two
gallbladder us completely negative. My
amylase, lipase always normal. I do have
really bad indigestion for which I take
prilosec for at least two years.
Last week I awoke to severe belly pain. I
can't say specifically it was in one
locale. It was just crampy and all over.
I had huge amount of flatulence. I was
very, very nauseated. It continued for 48
hours with no vomiting or diarrhea. The
nausea pretty constant, but the pain was
colicky...Off and on. The night of second
day I had temp of 100.8. I continued to
have a low grade temp for two days. I
ended up getting a ct scan that was neg
for diverticulitis, etc, but did show a
non-specific 10mm cyst in the body of my
pancreas.
I will have an mri in a few weeks. I am
still nauseated off and on, and I have
acheyness in left epigastric area. My
stools are not gray, but I have at least 3
a day that alternate diarrhea and solild.
I actually have been that way for about
two years. Sometimes they have a really
foul odor sometimes not.
Any ideas on what this is? Should I be
concerned enough about the cyst to want an
mri sooner?????
