I am currently taking pravastatin for
cholesterol. It's not quite doing the
job for triglycerides (216). My doctor
wants to add lopid to get the
triglycerides under 200. I've read that
this is not a good combination. Is there
another combination that would work
better?

Switch to a low carb diet and your
triglycerides will fall like a stone as
will your ldl and your hdl will rise.
Statins are incredibly dangerous drugs and
if you switch to a low carb diet you will
not need to take any at all.
Moderator: can something not be done
about these advertisements particularly as
most of his information re cholesterol is
wrong, I thought it was against the forum
rules.

i would suggest don't take
too much statins. They don't do good.
Use co enzyme q 10 alongwith your
cholesterol reducing statin pills. Try
natural forms of co q 10... Especially
herbal sources.
Search herbal tea for heart and
cholesterol at google...You will find
one.. - .
It is a good one. You can try it.
