Is My Life Over? Posted: 10-05-06 12:34pm
Ok, so it clearly wasnt very clever
sleeping with a thai prostitute without a
condom. I have now got genital warts,
does this mean I cannot have sexual
intercourse ever again, which in turn
means no relationship with a woman?
I am 19, slept with the thai 'bar-girl'
when I was 17! I've had sex once since
and used a condom, but after researching I
now know condoms do not even protect the
reciever.
I haven't exactly got the largest sexual
appetite so I am coping, but I don't want
to be lonely all my life.
I have no idea how to cope with this
situation, I would be extremely pleased to
hear from other idiots who have contracted
it or anyone with advice. Thankyou

Don't lose hope.I have thought about if I
ever contracted an std from someone.I
thought that maybe I could find a group to
go to,where others go that have the std or
go online and find a dating site or chat
for people with std's.You never know, you
might meet someone who loves you so much
and wants to marry you they wont care
about your std. . . . Good luck! ( I
highly suggest the online dating thing)

I agree with melissa on what she said, I
recommend that too, as for the std, if you
do have a partner explain that although
hpv has no cure, there are many treatments
available to get rid of genital warts.
Also be sure to explain that the virus
goes away completely in most people in 1-2
years. Discuss the fact that safer sex
reduces the risk of passing the infection.
Also, let your partner know that not
everyone who is exposed to genital warts
gets infected. But I agree 100% percent
with melissa.
Sorry to hear that also, I couldn't even
imagine.

thanks! Theres one
thing,warts don't go away.They can be
treated and you may not have symptoms but
you still got it for life.Hpv and warts
are totally different things.The human
pappiloma(sp?) virus is in a womans
uterus. It can go away on its own but if
not it will cause cervical cancer.

Yeah, you have genital warts for life, but
you can get it laser removed and froze
off, but they will eventually grow back
but definitly a caca load of money, but
yeah seriously take into consideration of
what melissa said

Yes once the warts are removed via laser
or freezing they can come back at any time
throughout your life.
