Silicea Gel: have side effects, allergies, or kidney damage Posted: 10-06-06 12:59pm
I just started taking 1 tbsp a day of
Silicea Gel for my skin, hair and nails.
Are there any side effects to taking
silica? What allergic reactions should I
look for when taking it. Also, would it
damage my kidneys if taken for a long
time? Thank you.

No side effects from Silicea Gel have been
reported yet. There is no data that
Silicea could be toxic for the kidneys.
Allergic reactions are totally
unpredictable side effects. Allergic
reactions can occur to any kind of
medicine. Allergic reactions can manifest
differently, from the easiest skin rush to
the heaviest anaphylactic shock. If you
get any sign of allergy (skin rash,
itching, hard breathing, hypotension…)
stop taking the medicine and consult your
GP immediately.
