Q: 4th Time Pregnant the Problem??

Can you have complications if you've had 3 pregnancies very close together and all c-section? Will that cause problems for further pregnancies? My kids are all a year apart, my oldest son was 8months when I got pregnant with my second son, my second son was 6 months when I got pregnant with my daughter and my daughter is 5 months and i'm pregnant. But just a few days ago I started bleeding, not heavily and it was only a smear in my underwear and toilet paper, i've already seen a doctor and got blood work done, the baby is still there, but I was told i'm at risk of having an early miscarriage. I'm roughly about 2-3weeks they say. Is it because i've been pregnant for 4 yrs straight roughly that this is happening?

Doctors recommend waiting at least a year before you get pregnant again because it takes your body that long to recuperate. Pregnancy takes a toll on you. Multiple pregnancies in a short amount of time can be unhealthy.

Spotting (which is what you have) is very, very common in early pregnancy. You aren't bleeding. And from what i've read in your posts, it is brown (old) blood. Red blood is new, fresh blood.

You should talk to your doctor about the risks of 3 pregnancies in 4 years. He is the only one who can truly tell you.

Good luck!

That's what the doc told me about the blood as well, that it was old blood *before this I had no idea what that meant*
but that's what's been worrying me that this is some kind of sign that I shouldnt have gotten pregnant *not that we were even trying* I was on the pill and he was wearing a rubber, so what are the odds of still getting pregnant!?

There is 10 months between my first 2 babies and my son is nearly 9 months and I would of been 26 wks 5 days pregnant with my 3rd now- a girl- but I had premature labour last month. They don't know the cause of this but I do worry that it could of been cause we had them all close together. She would of been due a few days before my 2nd baby's 1st birthday.

We have decided not to have anymore children now. I hope that your body will be able to cope with the 4th pregnancy and that you have a healthy baby. Good luck sweetie!

Edit to add: bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy so try not to worry to much but don't over-exert yourself (hard I know with 3 little ones)

My last *a girl* was a preemie as well, I wonder if that was a the cause as well...I just got back from the hospital, did more blood work, more checks and it looks like the babies blood rate is going up and not down *which is a good sign* I have to go in for more blood work on wed and hopefully things go well and the blood is still climbing!!

Hi there! Bleeding can be normal! I bled for three months with one of my pregnancy's and two and 1/2 moths with the other pregnancy and it was normal red blood and prior to that I had problems with pregnancy's but I still carried the two until they were born and they were perfect! Just keep hoping and being positive that the blood tests remain rising and I will think positive right along side of you. Any pregnancy can be high risk, things can happen. Just know that we are here for you! I hope that you are able to take it somewhat easy although I am sure that having 3 other babies does not make it easy on you and I hope that you have people that can help you out some.

it amazes me that your doctor didn't discuss with you the toll multiple pregnancies could potentially have on your body! At your next visit, you should specifically ask what exactly your risk of premature birth/miscarriage/etc is due to having so many c-sections/births in such a short amount of time.

However, nothing may be wrong. My sister inlaw had 3 children in 3 years. She never had an issue.

Like most things pregnancy and health related, it is all a personal exerience.

I actually brought that up, I asked about that I said could the cause of the bleeding be that i've had three pregnancies, in three years and all c_sections and the doc said that's not the reason at all, the only problem I can run into is during birth and even then he was sure since I wont be having a normal birth that there shouldnt be any problems. He said thus far it looks like everything is ok, the blood rate went from 437 to 797, normally a babies blood rate raises half in 48hrs, but even 60% is better than not at all and he's sure things are alright, I still have to go in for even more blood work on wed

*i swear by the time this is all over, i'm going to look like a junkie lol, boht my arms are bruised and full of holes lol!!* but I really dont care where they get the blood from as long as everything is alright.

Re: Casandra030506
Well, that's what the doc was telling me, some women bleed straight through their whole pregnancy and still have normal healthy babies, as long as they're not passing clots.

Thank you so much for your support and your encouragement!! I really need it right now, all the help and advice I can get lol, it seems even with 3 kids i'm still learning new things with each pregnancy lol

It could be that you're so early in your pregnancy that you're bleeding or spotting. I spotted between my 4th and 6th week off and on and i'm fine now. Sometimes it justs happens.

I have actually been told that it could be dnagerous or make my current health problems worse by having to many kids in such a close time, I ended up with gastro-intestinal problem because of the pregnancy with my son solely because I didnt allow myself time to heal.

The worst problem is they say im to young to get fixed so my husband will be getting fixed of his own free will cause he doesnt want to see me suffer again. Pregnancy is a beutiful thing I never had any problems (with my first)besides the normal aches and pains but I have been warned.

Everyone is different im saying it will happen but what does your dr say about everything did he say he will keep a closer eye on you or what??

I wish you a happy/healthy baby!!
