How Accurate?? Desperate For a Baby! Posted: 10-08-06 11:40am
I've been trying to get pregnant for
little while now. My last period I had
was september 9th and I was due for it on
october 5th and it's usually very regular.
I had unprotected sex during the time I
ovulated. It is now the 8th and my period
has not come yet. Yesterday morning
though I noticed some light brownish
stains on my underwear and i've been
noticing a bit of milky vaginal discharge
a few days before that. If I were to take
a pregnancy test tomorrow morning how
accurate would it be?

A test is usually accurate on the first
day of your missed period (some can be
taken up to 4 days before) if you period
was due today then you could take one.
If I was you, take first morning urine
tomorrow morning as it contains the
highest level of hcg.
Good luck!

I normally take the test, with my oldest
son and my daughter and the one i'm
carrying now the test had an + - right
away, but my second son, I took 3 tests in
one month and kept getting a neg, but I
was still getting morning sickness and
feeling horrible, so I went in to the docs
and got a blood test done and it came up
positive, I was two months pregnant and
the pee test didnt work once...So I really
cant explain that one lol
but I always take the pee test first, then
go for a blood right after just to double
check.

Take the test now, it should be very
accurate. Make sure you pick up the
tests that states it detects hormones the
first day of your missed period or you can
get the ones that states that it detects 3
to 4 days sooner than a missed period.
Either of those should do the trick.

Big Sad Sigh Posted: 10-09-06 10:15am
I took the test this morning and it was
negative. So I assume i'm not pregnant
then right? Sigh so you think my
period is just late because of stress or
nervousness? If that's why then why did I
have that spotting a couple days ago and
yesterday morning? It was just a few
brown (like dried blood) spots on my
underwear.
I don't want to get your hopes up, but it
could have been a false negative. If you
still don't get your period in a few days
I would suggest seeing a doctor and having
a blood test done. Then you'll get a
definite answer. Good luck =)

I doubt you are pregnant, I beleive it
would be a little too late for you to be
having implantation bleeding, from what
ive read that is supose to be before your
missed period, my guess is your stressing
yourself over wanting to be pregnant that
your either gonna have a late period or
your something, also ive been told that if
you are really deserate to be pregnant you
can cause yourself to feel pregnant
but I could be, and I hope that I am,
wrong, for your sake
it may be just a false negetive, either
way, id wait a few days (abotu a week
since you last tested) and try again if
you havnt gotten your period, if its still
negetive and you still dont have your
period then go to your doctor and get it
checked out
i really hope I am wrong and you are
indeed pregnant
