I need a tmj specialist. I can't seem to
find one anywhere near me and no one
website really recommends anyone as the
american dental association still doesn't
recognize tmj as a dental disorder. I'm
in missouri and need a specialist that
will understand the degenerative disorder.
I've had 3 surgeries and now have some
sort of cyst or calcium deposit on my jaw
joint. I need a surgeon, not a tmj doc
that thinks this can be healed with
endontics and I never should have had the
surgeries. If anyone has a suggestion as
to how to find a doc or can recommend
someone I would appreciate it! I'll even
travel if the doc really knows what he/she
is doing.

Have you got on the net and looked for
oral/maxofacial surgeons or another way is
neuromuscular dentists in your area? Not
sure if this will help. I don't live in
your area, but where I am they have a tmj
clinic at the university hospital. You
may check to see if that is available in
your area also. Let me know if that helps
