Severe Stomach Pains: Parasites or something else?
Posted: 10-15-06 23:48pm

I am writing this for my daughter. She has been having severe pains throughout the stomach for months. She has always had a sensitive stomach, lots of loose stool. We have had every medical test run with no success. She doubles over in pain and can not even go to school. We saw a Chiropractor who said he believes she has parasites. And gave us Zymex II. We then had a medical doctor run the test. I was told because we already started the Zymex that the test might not come out positive even if she has them. We have noticed that the pain is worse when she takes the Zymex. (5 days on 5 days off) Its now been almost 6 weeks. I was told it takes time but she is in so much pain at times. I ordered a stomach cleasing kit from Dr Natura. I cant seem to find anyone who understands, the doctors laugh at the chiropracters and visa verse. We are trying to get to a specialist but in the mean time I dont know what to do, Continue the Zymex, use a cleasing kit or stop everything all together. Will these products hurt to use. Can they cause more problems if it is not parasites? I have heard since they are all natural that is should be okay to take them......

confused mom!

Stomach pain is not typical for intestinal parasites except in cases of some complications (obstructive ileus). Intestinal parasites can be proved only if worms or their eggs are found in a stool sample. You can first decide either you are going to ask for allopathic medical or naturopathic medical help. You can ask for allopathic medical help (western medicine) from a gastro-enterologist or an infectologist to examine, diagnose, and treat your child's condition.
