I've had my ears pierced since I was a few
months old, I can't remember it at all
,didn't effect me in any way! I did hate
earrings when I was younger though! Plus
when you get them done when your a baby
you don't have to worry about them closing
up! I can have my earrings out for months
and there still open! It always looks so
cute on babies! I say do it!

I never realized how many people were
against it. I personally think it looks
cute. Parents put cute clothes on babies
and they don't realize it either. I had
mines done when I was a few months old and
I of course don't remember a thing. I'm
glad it was done that young, because I got
another ear piercing after that and it
hurt like hell. I can go literally years
without earrings and they've never closed.
Ava's getting her ear's pierced after a
few months.

I got mine done when I was 6 or 7, and I
remember it vividly. I cried sooo hard
and didn't want the lady to do my second
ear. It was only when my dad told me .I'd
look funny with one earring that I let
her.
It sounds stupid, but it was
traumatizing.
That's really why I want to do it now, to
save .Aly from that. But .I'm also
paranoid that she'll pull on her ears if
she gets an ear infection or when she
starts teething and might rip her little
earlobes.
How do those ear piercing people know
where to put the earring, so that it's
still centered when the ear gets bigger?

I feel that we are all different and if
you want to have your little one's ears
pierced then go for it or do it yourself,
it is your choice. I did not get mine
done until I was 20 and I do not wear
earrings very much but I still can wear
them and I asked my daughter when she was
5y/o and she said that she did not care
and at 6 and said she did not know and at
7y/o she got them pierced on her birthday
and I got her a pair of diamond studs, her
father and I talked about it while she was
a baby and we both decided to wait and
make it her idea. That was our choice
though.

My in laws keep asking me if i'm going to
get .Adriana's ears pierced, because most
of my hubby's nieces had them done as
babies....And I have told them .N.O a
million times. I refuse to do it until
she's old enough to want them, and ask for
them. It's just a personal choice, but
i'm terrified that she would someday
discover it and pull on it, or that it
would get caught on her sheet, a blanket
or her clothing and it would pull and rip
her ear lobe. I have nothing against it,
but I wouldn't do it to my child. Just
thought i'd throw my 2 cents in

Why dont you pierce its tongue whilst your

get your ear done and your tongues free.
Disgraceful and idiotic and so not the
right thing to do.

excuse me, but .Aya was simply asking
everyones experiences about ear piercings
for babies, not for someone to jump down
her throat because it angers *you* off.
She wants to hear from people that have
done it to weigh the pros and cons. This
is a support forum, and if you can't put
your opionion in a civilized fashion, I
suggest you leave because it will not be
tolerated.

You know, I peireced my daughter's ears
*myself* and I know that I didn't do it
for my own personal enjoyment. I mean
come on.
Pierce my baby's tongue? How does the
tongus compare at all to ear lobes?
Like the other posters said, why go
through having a 5 year old scream and not
want to get the other ear pierced?
Junglejuice: this post was made to get
opinions. And of course, that's what it's
about. You are the one heating the
situation up, so please, be a grown woman
and respect other's opinions.
Aya: you know how I feel. Pm me if you
wanna talk more about it!

And thank you to everyone else who was
able to disagree with piercing without
flipping the f*ck out. I appreciate your
opinions.

It shocks me that people have to act so
childish and fly off the handle calling
people bad parents for such a small thing,
when the conversation was going on
maturely and wasn't turning personal at
all. It's pathetic. People like that
must have real huge problems functioning
in the real world.

I personally won't be getting lily's ears
pierced until shes old enough to ask for
them. I don't like watching my daughter
get shots let alone a piercing that is
unnecessary. She's not a barbie doll.
But thats my opinion.
I got mine pierced when I was 8, and it
went just fine for me. And then at that
point, I could take care of them myself.
