Q: Leaking Amniotic Fluid

At 16 weeks I started leaking amniotic fluid. The doctor put me on strict bedrest and didn't give me much hope for continuing the pregnancy(only about five percent). When the doctor told me the odds, my heart sank. But faith like I have never known came over me. I prayed for the life of my baby. People all over my small town prayed for me and the baby. My uncle, who is a preacher came and prayed over us, and I was healed. The tear in my amniotic sac was fully healed. I went back to the doctor the next day, and there was no more leakage. When the doctors had done all they could do, the lord stepped in. He gave me this wonderful gift. My baby is a miracle.

(why does it say 'guest' in black here but on the main page it says the username is 'alexis in valdosta'?

I know it's a random question but i've noticed this before with 'guest' postings and wondered what's going on?)

to the original poster: i'm glad everything worked out well. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes without a hitch.

Congratulations!!! I'm soooo happy for you! How do you know if you're leaking amniotic fluid?

the doctors will test the fluid with a paper. Amniotic fluid will turn it blue, I believe. Amniotic fluid also has a sweet smell to it and is different than a urine type smell.

All babies are miracles!

If I am not mistaken tears in the sac are able to repair themselves and to replinish the fluids.
