Q: Still On Bedrest... And U/s Pics!

I had my 38 week appointment yesterday and i'm still on bedrest even though my blood pressure was back to normal and my urine was clean. I guess they don't want it shooting back up but this is so boring. I had an ultrasound when I got there and it was so great, much better than the 18 week one. I could actually make body parts out and he looked really cute. The tech pointed out his hair! I wish she'd given me a picture of his foot, it was so clear and we could see all 5 toes. She also confirmed he's definitely a boy, even I saw that! Then I had a non-stress test which was annoying because the monitor thing wouldn't stay picking up his heartbeat so I had to hold it in place and it was killing my hand because of my carpal tunnel and on top of that he wouldn't move. Oh, and the room they had me in was wicked hot and when I got up the paper on the table was damp and my pants were soaked down the back. I was embarrassed to walk out! So next week I go back for another non-stress test and hopefully he'll be here anytime because I am so done.

Here are the u/s pics she did give us... They're laid out poorly but that's because of the way nick scanned them all on one page instead of each seperately... The row on the left is his profile with his hands in front of his face, see his nose? I think that one is so cute... The next one down are his "boy parts"... The third one is another profile. The second row are both of his face from the front. Creepy but cute! I am officially in love!

Poor girl Sad .I'm sorry you're still on bedrest. I know how frustrating that is... I was put on rest for two months! Nearly drove me insane.

I can't really make out the ultrasound pictures very well, but .I'm sure he's adorable! It'd be awesome if he popped out with a full head of hair! I want .Aly's to grow so badly so I can start doing things with it!

It's good to hear that your blood pressure is normal! Try to hang in there!

I am soooo glad that your b/p is good and that your urine is good! I am sorry to hear that you are still on bedrest, I know how icky it is but you don't need anymore flare-ups, you are too close now and soon you will be up moving around taking care of that little-one. Did they say how big they think he is. I am sorry that you are having to go through all of those tests as they are no picnic plus being pregnant. I am like the other one's, I will be sooo glad to see your baby pic's! When is your next appointment? Let us know what the dr says!

Lmao.. .Bridget you arent the only one to have been thru that. That happened to me today... I had to hold the monitor on my stomach, and everytime she moved, her heartbeat went away, so they couldnt record her *active heartbeat* so they failed her on the .N.S.T... So thats why I got a sonogram.. And the paper on the table thing is so funny cuz that happened to me today while waiting in a cramped tiny hot room for the dr to come in. It looked like i'd peed or something lol.
