Q: Period After Pregnancy

How long after having a baby will it be before you have a period. My baby is 6 wks old. I thought my now I should of had one. I have crapped for weeks now and there still isnt anything. No im not prego I had tubes tied.Anyone with advice it will really help. Thanks

Are you breast feeding? Sometimes it takes awhile, regardless of whether you are breast feeding or not. But, if you are breast feeding, sometimes you get lucky enough not to have a period until the weaning process or solids are introduced.

I have the exact same question. My baby is 6 weeks old, and I thought I would have gotten by now too..

That happened to me. I bled for a while after the birth...Not sure exactly how long, but then I was breastfeeding and luckily didnt get my period again till my son was 5 months ish, after he was on baby foods and less milk in the daytime. I still used birth control though cos people on here said you can still get pregnant, which I didnt know at the time. Im not regular still, but it takes time for your body to get back to normal. (still breastfeeding)
