i came home from a gallbladder removal
earlier today. It was a keyhole
surgery and without any complications. To
start with I was doing fine, but now
i can't even seem to keep water down
anymore. I'm throwing up bile and i
can't get a straight answer from the
hospital what this is or what to do about
it. I really need to be able to drink
water so I don't get dehydrated and to
take
the painkillers.
Anyone had this problem? And what did you
do?
C - thankful for replies

Hi there I got sick after my gall bladder
surgery and it was from the anesthetic.
Throwing up bile because I was not allowed
to eat before the surgery, maybe this
gives you some help.

Thanks for your reply, marlene...But it
showed out to be something much more
serious than that.
I had to see my gp who sent me straight
back to the hospital again. I got
admitted and they found out that the small
intenstine was stuck in the wound by the
belly button where they pulled out the
gallbladder. So when I came in I had no
movements in my tummy or the instenstines
whatsoever.
I ended up in surgery again and this time
they put back the small intenstine where
it should've been from the start. It was
all a mal-practice and nothing else.
Today i've been home for about a week, i'm
getting stronger but having problems with
the wound. It's still leaking a lot and I
will have a doc looking at it tomorrow.
Not sure if it's just due to me moving
around too much, or if it's something
else, but otherwise i'm doing pretty
well.
